Reiki
Reiki is a Japanese technique for relaxation and stress reduction, that also promotes healing. It is a safe, gentle and non-intrusive energy healing practice administered by ‘’laying on hands’’. Reiki treats the whole person and works to balance an individual on many levels, physically, mentally, emotionally and spiritually.
The word Reiki means, spiritual energy, or universal life force energy. Reiki helps the energy in your body flow by working to remove blockages, promoting deep relaxation and reducing stress and anxiety to help bring you back to a more balanced state. It promotes feelings of peace and calm working on a subconscious level to reach the root cause of an issue, rather than the symptoms alone. Reiki can help to support an individual through a stressful period of their lives. Reiki can be used alongside other alternative therapies.
I began my Reiki training in Edinburgh with Master teacher Maija Kovalevska, and continued my training in Bangalore India with my aunt Kumud Bothra, who is a Reiki Master with 25 years experience. Kumud trained directly with the world renowned Reiki Master, William Lee Rand. I am deeply grateful for all the teachings I have received, and to benefit from having Reiki in my life.

What happens in a treatment?
During a Reiki treatment a client remains fully clothed, only removing shoes, and lays on a treatment table. Hands are placed on or just above the body depending on your personal preference. A Reiki treatment can bring a deep feeling of relaxation, peace and calm.
