Mum & Baby Yoga

This gentle class offers you a beautiful way to connect with your baby, while allowing you to take time for yourself both mentally and physically. We will combine breath, movement and relaxation to slow down, connecting our mind and body, and enhancing feelings of calm. When a baby is born a mother is also born, it is a new beginning for both, and so it is a time we should be kind with ourselves physically and emotionally. Yoga offers us all of these tools.
While the practice is for you, your baby, of course, remains the focus, and the class is a chance to bond with your baby. Connecting with your baby through touch, eye contact and shared smiles. The class is relaxed and informal, so please feel free to move around, or take the time to feed or soothe your baby whenever needed!
The classes are small and intimate, up to four mothers and babies, to allow everyone to get to know each other. It is a chance to recharge energy levels, a restorative practice that is gentle on the body, and your baby will also benefit from feeling mum calm, happy and relaxed!
No previous yoga experience is required.

When can I start after the birth?
This class is suitable for mothers to join after the 6 week medical check. You may be advised to wait longer after a cesarian birth. The class is suitable for all babies until they start moving. Dads and babies are also welcome!
What do you need to bring?
Yoga mats are provided, but feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Please bring a small blanket from home or any toys, so that your baby has something that is familiar to help them to feel comfortable and at ease.
